The deployment of knowledge management technologies continues to be central to the success of knowledge management in many organisations. In this article we examine the considerations that must be examined in the selection and implementation of these technologies. These considerations include the technologies themselves, the size of the organisation, corporate culture, industry considerations, organisational maturity, knowledge management system maturity and the overall maturity of knowledge management. Each of these considerations has drivers that impact the success of the implementation of knowledge management technology.
