This paper reviews approaches to the analysis of risk in business and industry, with particular consideration of the following aspects: models; computational procedures; computer software; methods; method design; management. Models are discussed in the context of the representation of uncertainty, decisions, and information structure, as well as application area. The paper represents the personal view of the author, as one conducting problem-driven research, and is intended to stimulate debate and synthesis.
