Abstract:

This paper presents an overview of the methodology and results from a study of accidents to young pedestrians and shows how the information gained may be used in planning suitable countermeasures. Information from Police data, the records of H.M. Coroner, and a questionnaire and interview survey are used to build up a picture of how these accidents occur and what their consequences are.
