Abstract:

Revenue management and distribution departments have seen important improvements in their technology over the last few years while traditional pricing has received little focus. As a result the industry is lacking pricing decision support. In addition to this lack of system support closer interactions between pricing and revenue management in an airline are recommended. Different levels of integration that can be achieved and the benefits and challenges associated with each will be considered and briefly discussed.
