The methods developed and applied in revenue management have been improved continuously over the last few decades. The amount of data to be processed for midsize to large carriers can be enormous. Although this has been a great achievement, it seems like science left the organizations, work processes and people behind. In order to ensure that sophisticated methods result in revenue improvements, this gap needs to be closed by improved user interfaces. Otherwise, analysts will override the output of the methods because of the lack of understanding of the information required by the algorithms.
