Abstract:

This paper describes a research study done to determine if a sea food product can be developed to increase sea food consumption by the poor of Chile. The study determined the resource to be used in the new product development by means of economic analysis, the most promising lines of products through a delphi experiment and the specific product, canned horse mackerel, with the help of a marketing research study and a previous pilot experiment.
