Howard proposes a ‘precise decision language’ that aims to improve clarity of discussion and thought about decision making and decision modeling. While I applaud Howard's goals, I think it is important that our language be consistent with the terminology currently used in the many fields related to decision analysis. On these grounds, I argue against some of Howard's proposed changes.
