Abstract:

In this paper, we examined web-based information systems success and focused on User Satisfaction in the context of a consumer purchasing decision. The results indicate strong support for the research model consisting of three fundamental User Satisfaction components: Task Support Satisfaction, Decision Support Satisfaction, and Interface Satisfaction. The model explains approximately 50% of the variance in users' intention to use web-based information systems. It is concluded that Decision Support Satisfaction plays an important role in web-based information systems success. In light of these findings, implications for theory and practice are discussed.
