‘Robust technology’ in risk management

This paper deals with ‘robust technology’-the special technique for simulation, investigation, forecasting and estimation of parameters of the stochastic models in project management. The risk problems can be investigated with modern methods of mathematical statistics. The so-called ‘robust approach’ is a powerful tool to receive stable (robust) estimates of parameters of stochastic models in situations where the models are known approximately. The problems of risk management are considered in terms of the theory of decision analysis. Robust methods of management in situations of uncertainty are discussed.
