The oil and gas industry in Brazil has become a very important sector for the country's economy due to the discovery of new oil and gas reserves. In 2012, a deep water drilling accident in the coast of Brazil spilled thousand barrels of oil in the environment, causing extensive damage that will last for years. Green supply chain management (GSCM) seeks to minimise the environmental impacts caused by industries' logistical activities and processes. The aim of this paper was to conduct an exploratory study of companies located in Brazil. The results are related to the application of the theoretical indexes proposed for the oil and gas industry's GSCM.
