Abstract:

The experience of Operational Research OR workers ‘in the field’ are compared with Eilon’s archetypes of Operational Research OR workers. Being a change agent may be desirable for the Operational Research OR worker and for the status of his/her profession, in practice it is hard to achieve because it implies sharing power with management.
