Abstract:

Productivity is the most usual indicator to measure agricultural performance. In this paper, instead of using the usual TFP, econometric or DEA models, we propose a multicriteria approach (Copeland method) to evaluate land and labor productivity measurements jointly. We evaluated the performance evolution of a group of family farmers from Machadinho d'Oeste, State of Rondonia, Brazil. The study is centered in each farmer, in its individual characteristics, in order to verify the success and the evolution of each farmer.
