A unified framework for classifying DEA models

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a relatively new methodology; consequently, its application often involves modification of the standard models for DEA. This paper develops a generalized DEA model, capable of handing many of the most important modifications required by DEA practitioners. The paper first reviews the standard DEA models. then extends the standard models and illustrates the application of the generalized DEA model.
