Abstract:

We consider a batch arrival two stages of service queueing system with a random setup time under Bernouilli vacation schedule, where the service of the first unit at the commencement of each busy period is preceded by a random setup time, on completion of which service starts. For this model we first obtain the steady state queue size distribution at a random epoch as well as at a departure epoch. Next we discuss some related vacation models. Finally, we obtain some system performance measures of this model.
