Abstract:

The tail behavior of the stationary waiting time distribution W(t) of the GI/G/1/∞ queueing system has been extensively investigated in the classical literature. This paper derives a set of local tail asymptotic relations for this distribution W(t) for cases where the service time is exponentially or subexponentially distributed.
