Multiple criteria decision aid methods can be implemented in various ways, namely when multiple stakeholders are involved. The collective construction of multiple criteria decision models refers to the way stakeholders are involved in the structuring of the problem, the identification of alternatives, the construction of a set (or hierarchy) of criteria, the elicitation of preferences. The way to involve the stakeholders in the collective construction of a multiple criteria sorting model is studied. The analysis refers to a real world case study dealing with the pricing of public transportation.
