For the lot-streaming problem in a multi-stage flow-shop, the majority of the research in the past used to fix the number of the batches and find only the optimal batch sizes without consideration of the setup time. In this paper, however, setup time for the machines is introduced. Both the numbers of the batches and the batch sizes are to be decided. The corresponding algorithms are constructed.
