Experiential learning activities in operations management

This paper describes eight in-class activities that have been effectively used to complement the traditional theoretical presentation in an introductory operation and production management course in either an undergraduate or graduate program. For each activity we include the course topics the activity supports, a description of the activity and an evaluation of its effectiveness based on our experience. The activities include physically played games as well as computer simulations. Most are easily adaptable to different courses and teaching styles.
