The product-sum fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is a tool widely used in many engineering applications. Barrett and Woodall showed that the product-sum FLC can be represented probabilistically. Here we offer an example of this representation using a single input–single output controller and a multiple input–single output controller. Advantages of the probabilistic approach are given.
