Abstract:

This paper presents a comprehensive model for the evaluation of air pollution caused by road traffic in urban areas, depending on site geometric and morphological conditions. The model is integrated in a Geographic Information System that allows the use of spatial co-ordinates to describe the structure of urban areas, road networks, and distribution of pollutants in the atmosphere.
