Abstract:

In this paper some mathematical programming formulations for project crashing in the presence of rewards for timely project completion and penalties for delay are proposed. Three different combinations of reward and penalty structures are considered. A case study with a piecewise linear penalty for delay and a fixed reward for timely completion is presented.
