A single server queue with infinite buffer and deterministic service rate is considered, where the input streams are generated by several identical and independent ON-OFF fluid serouces, and the peak rate of each fluid source exceeds the service rate. Exact closed form expressions for the distribution of the the first passage time to zero buffer are obtained. These formulae are used to derive the distribution of busy and idle periods in the buffer.
