Abstract:

This study proposes a Bayesian reliability analysis model by a single debugger for discrete-type software in its development stage. A ‘single debugger’ implies that we do not consider a situation where some debuggers test a software product independently of each other to compare their test results after all of them complete the tests. Estimation of software reliability as well as the number of remaining bugs is discussed, analyzing statistical data obtained in the tests. An optimal release problem of a software product is also formulated based on the proposed model. Numerical examples are presented, discussing the effectiveness of the proposed method. [In Japanese.]
