Abstract:

This paper proposes a framework for the dual command cycle continuous travel time model under class-based assignment. The ABC distribution is incorporated into the model as the inventory turnover function. The evaluation of the continuous approximation and the improvements of class-based assignment over random storage with various inventory turnover functions are also presented.
