Abstract:

Recently almost every organization is very eager to introduce various information processing equipments to cope with their complex informational environment. Whatever information systems are introduced to an organization, the ultimate responsibility for data handling such as data input to the systems rests upon the members of the organization. A slight error, whether it may be intentional or not, could result in disaster in some cases. A desirable system, at least, should be able to prevent intentional false data from being input. The paper conceptualizes the devices for collecting and processing information in an organization as information processing and decision making system (IPDMS) and propose four desirable properties reasonably required for the system. The paper, then, constructs an IPDMS satisfying them and examines the meanings of the system.
