In this paper the authors estimate the variance and the diffusion of the microbial pollution of the Kavala bay beaches. Fourteen (14) measurements have been taken under consideration, taken during the summer 1993. The same number of measurements was taken at 39 separate points of the Kavala bay. Starting with calculaton of the sample mean value, standard deviation, maximum-minimum values etc. of 3 types of pollutants (bacteorides coli per 100ml, Coli bacteroides of human feces origin per 100ml, streptococci per 100ml.) the authors estimate the parameters of the general linear model and calculate the pollution rates at every point of the bay where no measurements have been taken. Finally, effort has been put to the aim of graphical representation of the diffusion of the microbial pollution around the measurement points.
