In this paper, an operational scheme based on a terminal option is adopted for movements of an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). An integer programming model is proposed to obtain optimal discrete locations of terminals along with guide path directions. Sensitivity analysis with respect to key parameters is provided. Various penalty parameters are recommended to gain insight into different practical difficulties.
