Theoretical elements of comparison among ordinal discrete multicriteria methods

This paper aims to provide elements for a systematic analysis and comparison of ordinal aggregation rules. A framework for the analysis is proposed and an effort has been made to summarize and structure the families of internal consistency, external consistency and monotonicity-Pareto properties. Four ordinal discrete multicriteria rules (Blin, Kemeny, Köhler and Borda) are analysed in this framework.
