In a recent article, Cokelez and Burns developed a unified, integrated mixed integer linear programming model for solving the problem of Distribution Systems-Warehouse Location and Capacity in agribusiness. Their work constitutes an excellent contribution in this area in terms of comprehensiveness and applicability. Its domain of applicability also covers industrial production and marketing. This note restructures Cokelez and Burn’s model and discusses the advantages of the restructured version over the original model. Some numerical examples are given to demonstrate these advantages.
