This paper proposes an economic model of CUSUM Chart for controlling the mean of a normally distributed random variable when the distribution of time to the occurrence of an assignable cause is exponential. The model includes a variety of situations and can be used more effectively in industries when one wishes to detect changes in the quality of output under a continuous production process.
