This note on a paper by Boswell [IAOR 51086] demonstrates that TESSA restricts the solution (but not the MPG form), and may produce an infeasible solution. Moreover, TESSA is highly sensitive to the structure of the ‘REL’ chart. It is followed by a reply by Boswell (pp. 227-230).
