The paper describes the experiences of a single provider of Operational Research OR in a fast-growing Spanish household chemicals manufacturing company. An arithmetic error in designing a bonus scheme resulted in an unexpected, but successful production system. Operational Research OR interventions involving standard techniques applied in straightforward ways in other functions of the company were also successful.
