The main purpose of this paper is to present an analysis of the transportation function of the main distributor of electric energy in Chile. Mechanisms to improve the transportation management are proposed. The fundamental decision studied were: (a) Fleet design: the amount and the kind of vehicles for different divisions, areas and pools. (b) Vehicles location, especially the parking problem. (c) Vehicles assignment to tasks and route selection.
