Abstract:

Montgomery and Tagaras have each presented algorithms for the optimal economic design of nX-control charts. Generally, both algorithms are reasonably good. However, if the shift in the process mean is small, they have some drawbacks. This paper proposes an accurate and efficient algorithm to overcome these drawbacks.
