A model of water flow in channels of an irrigation system is suggested. The method of level forecasting is developed on the basis of this model, permitting realization of control of an irrigation system given various information on water demand. The model refers to notions from differential game theory and is characterized by simplicity of relations, allowing for realization with a modest hardware. The method is based on differing water flow régimes (both ‘wave’ and ‘balance’).
