Abstract:

The dual considered is made of two players, player I moving with constant velocity 1 and having m missiles, and player II moving with constant velocity 2 and having n=1 missiles. The dual is noisy. It is a zero-sum game. The assumption throughout the paper is that v1>v2. The author considers various subcases of this general duel and the strategies of both players for these subcases, with special attention to optimality or •-optimality of these strategies, where •-optimality (•-maximum) is related to shooting within a time interval of length α(•), α(•)⇒0 with •⇒0.
