The aim of the FMS control system is to assure most effective use of FMS capacity for producing required parts according to production and priority schedules. The concept is presented according to which the FMS control system performs operational planning functions via a similitude to real-time operational control used for calculating processes in computers. Thus, the concept presented proposes to describe the operation of FMS and the respective control system functioning in the language of operational systems. The paper goes on to describe, in general terms, four functions of the master controller system (work space, process and technological control).
