Discrete time inventory model for deteriorating items with two warehouses

An inventory model for deteriorating items with two warehouses by considering discrete time units, is developed and analysed in this paper. Varying rates of deterioration and demand are assumed. The model is set up by assuming finite production rate and backlogging shortages. A single warehouse version of this model is also discussed. An algorithm is presented to solve the model and a numerical example is given to illustrate the solution of the model. Sensitivity analysis with respect to some of the parameters is also carried out.
