A probabilistic order-level inventory model is developed for items that deteriorate continuously in time. The demand is assumed to occur instantaneously at the beginning of the scheduling period after the decision regarding the order-level has been made. The model with general deteriorating function is derived first and then its particular cases are considered. An example is also given.
