An EOQ type inventory model is developed for items with decreasing demand. The model is developed for a finite planning horizon over which the demand rate is decreasing negative exponentially and the scheduling periods are of equal length. The developed model described a typical declining market situation. A numerical example is given to illustrate the derived results.
