Abstract:

Economic and industrial development issues are considerably complicated and dynamic, and many problems need to be solved by the integration of professional knowledge in different fields. The systems approach refers to analysing problems from the macroscopic perspective using systems thinking, and it has become an important method in the modern world. Many countries in Asia are newly industrialized, and systems engineering has played an important role. Although the systems approach is important, it seems that its application in social science field is still not so popular. This study used the evolution of system dynamics and industrial development research by systems thinking in Taiwan as an example to explore the phenomenon, in order to find the difficulty and future trend of the systems approach.
