Constructing structured knowledge bases from experts’ reasoning gives rise to methodological problems, especially in the knowledge acquiring phase. These problems concern, on the one hand, the nature of the knowledge which founds the reasoning of an expert, and on the other hand, the mechanisms according to which the expert perceives his cognitive environment. The author proposes some knowledge acquiring protocols which treat these problems in the particular context of decision aid expert systems.
