Abstract:

In this paper, we develop a quadratic finite volume element method based on the Barlow points for pseudo‐parabolic equations in three spatial dimensions. Optimal order of convergence in the L 2 norm is obtained by use of a symmetrization technique. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the theoretical findings.
