Abstract:

In this paper, a prey–predator‐resource model with harvest effort on resource biomass is proposed, where maturation delay and stage structure for prey population are considered. Positivity and boundedness of solutions are studied. By performing local stability around all equilibria, dynamic effects of maturation delay and harvest effort on model system are discussed, and region of local stability around interior equilibrium is found by analyzing the associated characteristic transcendental equation. Furthermore, global stability of the interior equilibrium is investigated due to variation of maturation delay and harvest effort. Numerical simulations are carried out to show consistency with theoretical analysis obtained in this paper.
