We employ Neural Networks for diseased and healthy retinal image classification. A duty cycle method is proposed to improve the energy efficiency of the system. The Smartphone‐based system is able to perform real‐time diagnosis for >14h. Evaluated with 260 images from medical databases, it achieves high accuracy.
