Abstract:

  • This paper presents a human space exploration strategy that uses internationally and commercially available launch vehicles (Delta, Atlas, Ariane, and Falcon).
  • Utilizing on‐orbit propellant resupply enables the use of these smaller, currently available launch vehicles to perform near‐term human exploration.
  • Using propellant resupply also has other benefits on the architecture, such as improvements in cost, reliability, and schedule.
