Abstract:

  • Patched three body interplanetary transfers are designed.
  • A Poincarè section tool is presented.
  • The combination of ballistic transit arcs and low‐thrust phases is analyzed.
  • The GTO‐to‐Venus transfer takes about 5 years consuming 330kg of propellant mass.
  • Propellant mass saving of about 30% is obtained than an entire low‐thrust transfer.
