Abstract:

The joint replenishment problem for the continuous review, constant demand multi-item inventory has received considerable attention when the nature of joint costs are a fixed major cost for any production and a minor cost for each item included. Exploiting an alternative bounding methodology, these results are extended to more complex joint costs.
