Abstract:

In this paper, a fuzzy two‐stage (FTSDEA) has been proposed. Each decision‐making unit (DMU) has been supposed to make up two serially connected sub‐DMUs. The uncertainty of measures has been represented using linguistic terms parameterised through fuzzy sets. Mathematical modelling of proposed FTSDEA results in a great reduction of computational efforts. Then, a sensitivity analysis has also been supplied for the proposed FTSDEA to determine the radius of stability within which data variations in a fuzzy environment will not alter a DMU's, sub‐DMU's classification from efficient to inefficient status or vice versa. A set of efficient models has been proposed to this aim in a fuzzy environment. An illustrative example has been supplied to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method.
