The problem of control of flow‐type heating of a viscous oil product is considered. On the basis of the spectral method the transition is carried out from the partial differential equations with variable coefficients to the infinite‐dimensional system of equations in the form of the space of states. For the obtained system a dynamic controller in output is synthesized on the basis of the procedure of H
